News during French and Indain War

Throughout the French and Indian War, the newspaper was a device that helped to keep colonist in tune with what was going on in their surroundings. Without having the all important daily newspaper, no one would have any clue as to what was going on in their towns. Reading articles about the French and Indian War kept readers interested. Seeing as the war was taking place near their homes, as well as held most of the colonist's future's. The daily newspaper held a huge role in every colonist's life. Without the newspaper there would be hardly anything to talk about seeing as the newspaper was what kept the colonist in control of their information. The newspaper was held as valid sources of information for all the colonists. The newspaper let readers feel as if they were on the battle field themselves witnessing everything for themselves. Seeing as many of the readers were spouses to fighter in the war, this either eased the mind or petrified each reader. Thanks to the newspapers of that time period, each American citizen was in a way provided with their own personal information packet.
