Boston Act's

Boston Massacre

I feel that Boston's colonists as well as the British soldier's acted disrespectfully. Seeing as the British soldiers were not welcome their to begin with, they acted rather rude in a place they didn't belong. However, the colonist acted very rowdy around the British soldiers, and acted with a violent nature. When going over the event of the Boston Massacre, it's easy to make the British seem at fault seeing as they killed and wounded innocent colonist. However, they were provoked by these innocent colonist, so really both neither party acted justified.

The Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party in my opinion was one of the greatest acts in history. The Boston colonist fought for what they felt was right, however they fought with a cleaver and in an extremely sneaky matter. Seeing as what they did was peacefully and really completely harmless. Nothing was stolen, and anything broken was replaced soon after the event. Which in my opinion lead the Boston colonist's to act justified. Unlike the British colonist whom tried to get away with taxing tea but failed miserably and also got a slap in the face with it. What the British colonist assumed was that the the Boston colonists would fall for their trick of lowering the price of tea and leaving the tax on it. The British colonist thought that their idea was pure genius, I mean who wouldn't except a cheaper tea? Clearly Britain did not think their idea through seeing as Boston dumped 342 chest of tea into Boston Harbor.

The Intolerable Acts

The British colonist's I felt were basically embarrassed, which was what lead to the Intolerable Acts. The Boston Tea Party was a complete slap in the face for the all the citizens living in Britain so they felt that everyone was laughing at the which made them look weak. Obviously no colony wants to be seen as the weak colony so the British revolted with the Intolerable Acts which I felt was completely unjustified. The laws that the British enforced on the Boston colonist were completely ridiculous and unreasonable. Not only did these acts mess up the economy situation but resulted in ruining the Britain economy. Sure everyone should be punished for their actions, but not to that extreme.
